FII-BACKED STOCK UNDER RS 20, 10:1 SHARE SPLIT: OK PLAY RETURNS TO BLACK IN Q4

Ok Play Share Price: Ok Play India, a microcap stock under Rs 20 with significant FIIs holding, has reported returning to profitability on improved earnings in the January-March quarter (Q4FY24). The company has reported a net profit of Rs 4.26 crore in the quarter as against a net loss of Rs 4.96 crore in the same three-month period of the previous fiscal.

According to an earnings statement published by the company, the total revenue in the quarter grew by more than 50 per cent YoY to Rs 56.7 crore in the quarter versus Rs 36.5 crore reported in quarter ended March 31, 2023.

In the FY24, the firm's net profit stood at Rs 5.74 crore. Ok Play had reported a net loss of Rs 3.9 crore in the prior fiscal. Its total revenue in FY24 surged to Rs 158.5 crore as against Rs 133 crore reported in preceding financial year.

Incorporated in 1988, Ok Play India is engaged in the business of manufacturing plastic moulded products such as school furniture, infrastructure, toys, automotive products and others. Earlier in January this year, the company had announced plans to invest Rs 100 crore in the toy space over the next 2 to 3 years.

Ok Play Shareholding

According to the shareholding pattern as on January 31, 2024, promoters own majority stake in the company at 44.82 per cent, followed by non-institutional investors at 19.64 per cent and FIIs at 19.64 per cent.

Ok Play India had in March this year split the face value of equity shares from Rs 10 to Re 1 each (10 for one).

A stock split is one corporate actions wherein listed companies split or sub-divide the face value of equity shares in a specific ratio. The ratio is announced by the board of directors. A split is done to infuse liquidity and make stock cheaper for small traders and investors. The corporate event has no impact on the company's market cap.

Ok Play Share Price History

According to BSE analytics as on April 23, the microcap stock has delivered a positive return of 35 per cent in just one year. In two years, the counter has appreciated a whopping 204 per cent. Ok Play share have skyrocketed a massive 514 per cent in the last three years, resulting in wealth gain for investors.

The BSE-listed stock has a 52-week range of Rs 21.50 - Rs 9.35. The company commands a market cap of Rs 408.72 crore, according to BSE website.
