ICICI BANK SAVINGS ACCOUNT CHARGES: 10 MAJOR CHANGES IN TARIFFS FROM NEXT MONTH – CHECK DETAILS

ICICI Bank, India’s second largest bank by market capitalisation, recently announced a revision in charges for many of its services for customers, effective May 1. Among these are charges pertaining to ATM usage, debit card, cheque book, IMPS, stop payment, signature attestation and more.

The leading bank offers customers various savings accounts from basic to premium based on their specific requirements. Customers enjoy the freedom of banking from anywhere and at any time through these savings accounts.

Here are 10 changes in savings account service charges announced by ICICI Bank:

Debit Card Annual Fees:

ICICI Bank will charge Rs 200 annually from customers living at regular locations and Rs 99 from those living in gramin or rural locations.

Cheque Book Charges:

The bank will not charge for initial 25 cheque leaves in a year, but thereafter customers will have to pay Rs 4 per leaf.

Stop Cheque Payment Charges:

For a particular cheque – Rs 100 (Free through customer care IVR and internt banking).

Issuance of Duplicate Pass Book:

The bank will charge Rs 100 for issuance of duplicate pass book and Rs 25 per page for updation.

IMPS Charges:

  • Amount up to Rs 1,000 – Rs 2.50 per transaction
  • Amount above Rs 1,000 to Rs 25,000 – Rs 5 per transaction
  • Amount above Rs 25,000 to Rs 5 lakh – Rs 15 per transaction.

ECS / NACH Debit Returns:

Rs 500 per instance for financial reasons. Maximum recovery will be done for 3 instances per month for the same mandate

Replacement Card Fees (Lost/Damaged card)

For a replacement card in the event of lost or damaged card, the customer will have to shell out Rs 200.

Surcharge on Railway Bookings:

Customers will be charged 1.8% of bookings as per Visa regulations.

Photo and Signature Attestation:

For photo and signature attestation for savings accounts, ICICI bank will charge Rs 100 per application from customers.

Cash Deposit Charges – Cash Acceptor/Recycler Machines

The bank will charge Rs 50 per transaction, to be levied on cash deposited in the cash acceptor/recycler machines on bank holidays and between 06:00 p.m. and 08:00 a.m. on working days.

The charges would be applicable if the cash deposit in the cash acceptor/recycler machines on bank holidays and

between 6 pm and 8 am on working days exceeds Rs 10,000 per month either as a single transaction or multiple transactions. Above charges will not be applicable to senior citizens, basic savings bank account, Jan Dhan accounts, accounts held by incapacitated and visually impaired persons, student accounts or any other accounts identified byICICI Bank.

There are several other savings account services on which there is no fee levied. Here are they:

Reissue of Internet user ID or password (Branch or non IVR Customer Care): NIL

Address change request at branches: NIL

Retrieval of old transactional documents / Enquiries related to old records: NIL

Balance Certificate, Interest Certificate: NIL

Address confirmation: NIL

National Automated Clearing House (NACH) Mandate. One time mandate authorisation charges (physical): NIL

Lien marking and unmarking of savings account: NIL

Reissue of Internet user id or password (Branch or non IVR Customer Care): NIL

Address change request at branches: NIL
